Field Campaign Schedules
The field campaign schedule for the NSF NCAR-managed LAOF lists, in chronological order, approved, requested, and prospective field campaigns that require facility and instrumentation support. The chart is primarily used to plan ahead and to allow NSF and NCAR to assess future facility demand and resource needs. It is not intended to discourage investigators from submitting a facility requested for a desired time slot, even if other potential field campaigns are already included. NSF jointly with NCAR will make a concerted effort to maximize field support.
Facility-specific planning charts for the NSF/NCAR aircraft are also available.
The funding status of each campaign is highlighted in green for approved, pink for requested, and yellow for Statement of Interest (SOI). NCAR support services include Data Management (DM, provided by NCAR EOL), Field Catalog (FC, provided by NCAR EOL), Project Management (PM, provided by NCAR EOL), Educational Outreach & Media support (EO, provided by NCAR EdEc), Forecasting (F, provided by NCAR MMM), and Operations Center (OC, provided by NCAR NRIT).
